Who is Lindsey DeMars?
Lindsey DeMars is a Director, Writer, Storyboard Artist,
Animator, and Independent Filmmaker currently living and breathing in Los Angeles, CA. Lindsey is a graduate of the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD)'s Experimental Animation Program, where she created an assortment of silly cartoons that have screened at festivals such as Animation Block Party and Animafest Zagreb. She has professional experience as a Storyboard Artist in Feature Animation (Kids & Family Comedy) and has written / directed various animated comedy shorts for clients such as Fox, Bento Box, Hulu, Adim Inc, Buzzfeed, and more. Most recently, Lindsey has been focused on developing projects for TV and Film.
Lindsey aims to create character-driven comedies in both the kids and adult space, with jokes that are informed by the relationships and dynamics between recurring characters in the context of their world. Crazy, silly, cartoonish things might happen, but the core sense of humor is grounded in the characters’ personalities. Lindsey’s endearingly sardonic voice juxtaposes the charming, bright and nostalgic art style present in her work, which is reminiscent of old school 90's cartoons meets classic 2000's era flash animation.
